My name is Curtis Mitchell, principal at CM Designs ltd. Here is a bit about me:

Design Experience:

Prior to my Architectural work experience, I framed homes and worked as a construction labourer in my teen years and right out of high school. I studied Architectural Technologies at SAIT from 2015 to 2017. Out of school I got a job with Meiklejohn Architects in Kelowna, BC. Meiklejohn specializes in 5 storey wood frame condo projects, but also has worked on concrete towers, and large residential designs. In 2020 I started CM designs, mostly serving developers and their spec homes / 4-plex designs. My company grew quickly, and I found myself designing custom homes, duplex's, 4-plex's, and began assisting clients with rezoning / subdivision applications.

Construction Experience: 

What sets me apart from other residential designers, Is that I build homes too. In 2019, I started flipping homes, and today I build new multi-million dollar spec homes. This gives me the understanding of how a building is put together, how to save costs on structural elements, how to save costs on exterior finishes etc.

Personal Life:

During my off-time, I enjoy camping, mountain biking, and travelling.
